We are a global organization built out of hard work, friendship and genuine love of what we do.
The people that Guro Rick has partnered with to take his signature teaching method and blend of arts global are Guro Rick’s friends, long time training partners, and long time students. This ensures that you not only get high quality training at any MKG location around the globe, but that you are also directly a part of the family. Seriously – show up at a camp or one of our holiday parties and you’d think your at a family reunion.

About the Association Structure:
Branch Schools: MKG Branch schools are schools that have decided they are ‘all in’ on the MKG Method and support structure. For these schools we offer ongoing curriculum support through our online university, business coaching through quarterly meetings and one on one sessions, brand and logo support, and a host of other benefits.
Affiliate Schools: MKG Affiliate schools are schools that have a certified MKG coach teaching at their location. They will teach some or part of the MKG method and curriculum, often mixed in with other approaches and styles in similar sets of arts.
MKG Instructor Levels:
Associate Instructor 1 (then Associate 1.1, Associate 1.2. and Associate 1.3) – This is the start of our instructor track. Many instructors come to us with decades of experience in other programs, but all start at the same point for learning and teaching our curriculum as we present it.
Level 1 Instructor (then 1.1, 1.2, 1.3) – Fully certified to teach our core curriculum, and often other parts of our programming as well.
Level 2 (then 2.1, 2.2, 2.3) Instructor – Extensive knowledge in our core curriculum as well as a few areas of specialty within our broader spectrum of arts.
Level 3 Instructor – In addition to a mark of seniority, usually decades of teaching experience, this level indicates someone who is fully capable of teaching all areas of our curriculum in depth. Instructors are never done growing and learning, but these coaches have achieved broad and deep knowledge in our curriculum.
Level 4 Instructor – There are very few of these in the world. These are people who have left their own unique mark on the world of martial arts.
